Immutable

Once a snapshot is taken, it is unmounted from the onQ and made immutable (not susceptible to change). Any updates to make it bootable on the appliance, replicate it to another appliance or Quorum cloud, boot and use it in test or production, restore files from it, or any other means use the data in the snapshot are done through thin provisioning of the snapshot.

Logical Air-Gap

As stated above once the snapshot is completed and residing on the onQ it is unmounted from hypervisor and no longer visible to the production network. Reducing the threat vectors that ransomware takes to scan and look for data to infect. The only thing that can access the data and mount it (in the event you need to recover) is the onQ.

Zero Trust Networking

Quorum does not trust any servers or applications running in your environment because at any time they may be made un accessible due to outage, accident, or ransomware. This includes protocols like DNS and DHCP. Quorum manages its own host file of servers it is protecting and uses certificate authentication to ensure the server is authenticated and made available for protection.

Zero Trust Authentication

For many of the same reasons as above, Quorum purposefully does not leverage any single sign on mechanisms like Microsoft Active Directory for authentication. If you are in a full disaster scenario, none of these mechanisms can be counted on so a separate secure authentication mechanism must be utilized.

Encryption

All data protected by the onQ is encrypted at rest and in transit. Whether the data resides on an appliance or in the cloud, it is secure.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA extends our security focus by providing an extra layer of security to safeguard your valuable data.

Hardened Against Malware

onQ runs on hardened Linux operating system, reducing all security vulnerabilities to an absolute minimum and further protecting your data.

Logical Air-Gap

Isolates your recovery solution away from your production environment and not part of Microsoft Active Directory, preventing ransomware hackers from encrypting your backups.

When you recover using the Quorum cloud there is no additional expense to you, doesn’t matter how long you need to run off your recovery node. Unlimited Testing in a Secure Environment (Clean Room)

With the Quorum solution we offer you a secure environment in which you can conduct unlimited testing before rolling out upgrades or changes in your production environment. While many of our competitors would consider this an add-on to your basic service, with Quorum this is included in your solution at no additional cost.

Quorum onQ is the Core of Our Disaster Recovery and Ransomware Protection Solution.

Quorum has the means to ensure your snapshots are safe and secure. Quorum’s hardened business continuity appliance hardware and encrypted snapshots can immediately boot a snapshot of your production servers in the event of an infection. Our scalable hardware is designed to deliver the same levels of workload performance as your production systems and seamlessly take over from the compromised server. onQ gives you the time you need to clean the infected server and get it back online.

In under 2 hours, we completed a bare metal restore from the local Quorum server and went home and got some sleep. The next morning came and no one even knew the PDC for the entire institution died the night prior.

“Quorum is ridiculously easy to learn…”

Quorum is ridiculously easy to learn how to operate. To be able to operate this effectively out of restore and backup, is incredible. I think it’s a very elegant solution, a very well thought out and a very well-designed solution.
