Chief Executive Officer
Doug Garn is a member of numerous board of directors as a member of the venture capital firm, Toba Capital. Garn previously served as the CEO and President of Quest Software, acquired by Dell in 2012, for nearly a decade. Garn held numerous management positions in sales, marketing and across the business at Quest where he was instrumental in driving fast growth within the early days fo the $20 million company.
He then continued to help Quest develop to over $850 million, with more than 3,800 employees, leading up to, and during his tenure as CEO. Prior to Quest Software, Garn held executive roles at Peregrine Systems, Inc., Syntax Inc, and at BMC. He holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Southern California.
Chief Technology Officer
As CTO, Marc is responsible for all of Quorum engineering. He has over 20 years of experience in technology and academia. Prior to cofounding Quorum® (Quorum Technology Inc.), Marc was the head of Software Development at Sandpiper Networks where he led the team that created the internet’s first Content Delivery Network.
Through mergers and acquisitions, Marc continued to lead software development at Digital Island, Exodus, and Cable & Wireless. Prior to Sandpiper, Marc cofounded several successful software startups. His diverse experience has ranged from developing embedded code for real time micro controllers to operating system development on the world’s fastest supercomputers to products for distributed computing.
VP of Global Sales and Marketing
As the VP of Global Sales and Marketing for Quorum, Dave Baldwin leads worldwide sales, channels, and marketing. Dave brings over 30 years of sales and executive sales management experience in building high performance sales teams to Quorum, where he oversees key functions including development and execution of sales strategies, revenue growth and customer retention.
Dave’s successful prior track record includes high profile leadership positions and recognized sales achievements at high-tech companies such as Quest Software, Dell Software Group, and Immersion Technology Services. His extensive background includes database management, business intelligence, replication, LMS, cloud computing, backup and recovery, integration, and performance monitoring. In his past role as SVP of Sales at Immersion Technology Services, he was tasked with securing funding, hiring, developing, and growing market share for a recent acquisition of Cloud/On-Premise Learning Management Solutions with eLearning force. As a Dell executive, he led the Information Management Business Unit and shaped long-term strategic direction and revenue growth. While Director of Sales at Quest Software Public Sector, Dave transitioned Quest’s solutions from a perpetual license model to a subscription-based offering. At Quorum, Dave will build a successful team to earn our customers’ support and respect.
Dave earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dave serves as a board member for Fish For Life (www.fishforlife.org), a nonprofit organization focusing on fishing with special needs children. He currently resides in Southern California with his intelligent and beautiful wife and daughters and enjoys lacing up his skates for weekly ice hockey games.
VP of Operations
At Quorum, Jim is overall responsible to lead our mission-critical Operations functions including: Finance & Accounting, Customer Support, Sales Process Ops and Order Fullfillent. He is amongst our most passionate executives for the implementation continuous improvement processes and steadfast advocacy for all things important to our Customers' end-to-end experience at Quorum.
Throughout his growing and impressive career, Jim has held multiple, successful leadership roles in Operations across a number of customer-centric industries within challenging, high-growth business environments across automotive, software, and life sciences industries. Jim's previous roles include Sales Operations Management, Channel Operations and Customer Support, Quota and Compensation Planning and Administration, Sales Enablement, Products and Pricing, CRM Management (Salesforce.com and Siebel), Product Fulfillment and Entitlement, Customer Care, M&A, Process Improvement and more. Jim is a proud graduate of both the United State Air Force Academy and Purdue University.
VP of Product and Technical Operations
Gabe is responsible for Product Direction and roadmap, as well as the Quorum Cloud and Technical Infrastructure. For the last 6 years Gabe has been with Quorum in several roles from operations, to manufacturing, and technical support. In addition, Gabe was instrumental in opening our operations in the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world.
He has been working in IT for over 20 years, with the last 10 in leadership positions. In previous roles, he specialized in full IT and DR services for financial institutions across the US.
Senior Systems Engineer
As a Senior Systems Engineer at Quorum, Jason helps lead sales efforts from the technical POV, works with marketing to accurately brand our product, and works with product Development to guide the future of high availability and business continuity. Since joining Quorum, Jason has been responsible for driving >110% increase in recurring revenue. As one of our finest Technical Leaders, Jason is lead the charge to pivot a traditional backup company into a cloud recovery provider.
In addition, Jason has worked to change the sales process to put the power of discovery back to the buyer and is always an advocate of getting sales out of the way and let the technology speak for itself. Jason is a proud graduate of Georgia Military Academy, and he also maintains multiple technical licenses and certifications including: VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Professional.
Head of Channel Sales
As Head of Channel Sales, Marilyn Shepard is responsible for the channel sales strategies and methodologies implemented globally by Quorum.
Marilyn is an accomplished sales leader with more than 15 years of experience selling into corporate accounts. Marilyn’s extensive experience includes working for an eDiscovery cybersecurity software company to build revenue streams as an emerging technology channel in North America. She has previous background leading direct opportunities in hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure solutions. Marilyn guides MSP and VAR sales teams to help achieve their goals and bring value to clients from Small to Medium and Fortune 500 businesses. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton.
