On July 19, IT systems began crashing around the world that took down hospitals and airlines for days. A faulty CrowdStrike Falcon software update triggered Windows systems to crash. The insured losses from this incident are expected to range between $300 million and $1 billion. Worldwide financial damage is estimated to be at least $10 billion.
